How do I pay?
You can pay via cash/check in person, or I can invoice you via Swipe Simple: the service I use to charge cards. I cover all the fees, so you can get your flight miles, etc. I also accept PayPal *friends and family, and Venmo.
Do I need former experience?
No way! I don’t expect anyone to show up with tons of expertise, and if you do, I’ll look forward to learning from you, too :) Whether you’re looking to get stronger, find more mobility, or to seek more deeply within your mindfulness journey, I’m here to give you the tools and explore together. I welcome all!
Do you have insurance?
Absolutely. Of course the mission is injury prevention, but I am required to fully cover all my clients with liability insurance in the very very very unlikely event an injury.
What if I need to cancel?
I expect you to notify me as soon as you know you won’t make it. Anything over 4 is ideal, but within 2 hours is acceptable and you won’t be charged for the session. Life happens and so do sick kids, traffic jams, and all other forms of interruptions. I have a first-time clean slate policy, if you have to cancel last minute (within an hour) of our session. After the first offense, the last minute cancellations will be charged the full price of the session.
What should I wear?
For personal training sessions, athletic wear is fantastic! Wear layers you can peel off when you warm up, and water if you need it! I encourage barefoot training to enhance balance & stability (I have certification in this from the Foot Collective), but if you have pre-existing reasons you need your insoles or other shoes, that’s absolutely fine! f you have barefoot sneakers, that’s preferred.
For Holding Space Sessions I encourage loose fitting and cozy clothes, and Yoga —anything you can stretch in!
Are you certified in CPR/First Aid?
You bet I am. I also am a perpetual student and love to acquire more certifications! You can learn more about me here.
Do you work with clients whose focus is weight loss?
I am an advocate for “whole-being well-being”: My philosophy for training & working one-on-one is not about using a scale, tracking macros, or BMI. There are some trainers who focus on that or traditional body-building, and if that is where you’re at in your life, I encourage you to find one! I love when clients have goals and I’m a big believer in finding the best motivation for each person: and we all have different reasons “why” we choose to prioritize health. My focus is on strength, mobility, and mindsets that last and evolve how you see yourself beyond your physical aesthetic…. and how your mind feels when you push past the thoughts like “I can’t." I am ALL about making sure your strength is functional and your mind is in a good place, too.
